Plan a long series without burning out

Long-running shounen series can be huge commitments. Watched straight through, a few hundred episodes add up to days of runtime. Planning a marathon is easier with real numbers, so the calculator turns episode counts into total hours, daily viewing and a finish date.

Use it in three steps

  1. Pick a series. Episode count and runtime fill in automatically. Ongoing shows count only the episodes already released.
  2. Set your pace. Choose daily hours, watching days and playback speed. Turn on opening and ending skipping if you skip intros.
  3. Share or save. The link keeps your exact settings, so you can send it to a friend or come back later.

Why your total may differ from a streaming service

Runtimes are listed per episode and rounded to the minute. Recaps, previews and post-credit scenes vary between releases, and some platforms split or merge episodes. Treat the result as a reliable estimate rather than an exact runtime.

Frequently asked questions

How is the total watch time calculated?

Episodes × minutes per episode, divided by your playback speed. With opening and ending skipping on, the skip length (3 minutes by default) is removed from every episode that runs 15 minutes or longer. The total is then spread across the daily hours and watching days you choose.

Where do episode counts and runtimes come from?

From MyAnimeList, via the Tenrai API, refreshed once a day. For a series that is still airing, the calculator uses only the episodes that have already aired, and it says so. You can always type your own numbers.

Can I skip filler episodes?

Yes, for series with filler data. The option uses the filler and recap episodes flagged on MyAnimeList, or an editor-verified list where one exists. We never guess, so the option stays off for series without that data.

Is my data saved?

Your last settings are kept in this browser only. Nothing is sent to AnimeSparks. The share link contains just the numbers you entered.

How long does it take to watch One Piece?

Pick One Piece in the search box. The calculator uses the current aired episode count and shows the total in days and hours, plus a finish date for the pace you set.
