Type a name in the search box above the tree. The tree moves to that person and opens a card with their relatives. The Jump menu goes straight to a clan, team or place, and the Families only switch hides everyone with no recorded relatives.
Most characters have no relatives recorded in the source. They hang from a label for what they belong to, such as a clan, team, rank or home, drawn with dotted lines. Those lines show membership, not family.
The tree shows every relative by default, including ones revealed late in the story. Open the Spoilers menu above the tree and choose how far you have got to hide ties revealed after that point.
